What is a US address generator?
A US address generator is an online tool for creating structured United States address
examples. It can quickly generate street address, city, state, ZIP code, phone number,
email, and sample name fields for testing, development, form validation, and demo data.
Why can County show N/A?
Some source address rows do not include county information. This is most common in the
tax-free address dataset, where many records only provide street, city, state, ZIP code,
and full address. When the source has no county value, the generator displays N/A rather
than inventing one.
US address format
A typical United States address is written as street address, city, state abbreviation,
and ZIP code, for example: 123 Main St, New York, NY 10001. The tax-free option limits
output to Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire, and Oregon.
The United States includes 50 states and Washington, DC. Each state has its own
administrative structure, geographic character, and ZIP code distribution.
- Each US state has its own administrative system.
- Major states include New York, California, Texas, Florida, and more.
- Every state uses ZIP codes for postal routing.
- Address formatting follows common USPS-style conventions.
Use cases
Generated US addresses can be used in many testing and development scenarios:
- Software testing and development.
- Form filling and validation tests.
- Address format validation.
- Education and learning use.
- Privacy-friendly placeholder data.
ZIP code, phone number, and address format
US ZIP codes usually use a 5-digit format such as 10001. Some addresses may use ZIP+4,
such as 10001-1234. US phone numbers commonly follow +1 (XXX) XXX-XXXX, with area codes
varying by region. A standard address includes house number, street name, city, two-letter
state abbreviation, and ZIP code.
